In addition to Wealth Management, WH Ireland provides a full service Capital Markets offering, enabling our clients to undertake a variety of fundraising options to ensure the best possible outcome for your business.
For Private Companies
The focus of our Private Growth Capital team is to build relationships with private companies at an earlier stage in the lifecycle, primarily with companies that are in the consumer, tech, healthcare and life science and climate aligned (sustainable) sectors.
Our role is to raise debt or equity for companies needing growth capital of £1m to £10m, as well as offering the service to companies looking to raise more substantial amounts. We work with companies who are pre-revenue as well as those which are more mature. Typically, companies we work with are EIS eligible, having already raised seed capital. We use our networks to source capital from diverse pools, via relationships with private equity (for the larger raises), venture capital and EIS funds, family offices and UHNW and angel networks.
Lisa Fox, Head of Private Growth Capital, said: “Our extensive networks allow us to find not just the necessary funds, but also the right investor fit for your company. We establish and build strong relationships with each company during the first raise and support through subsequent raises. Companies that wish to exit via an Initial Public Offering are connected at an early stage with our Capital Markets team.”
For Quoted Companies
Our team offer trusted, reliable and valued advice to quoted companies. We act as a Financial Adviser for public companies, and are also the top 2 Nominated Adviser (Nomad) to AIM (Alternative Investment Market) listed companies. All AIM listed companies are required to use the services of a Nomad.
We also act as Financial Adviser & Broker to companies on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, Standard List, and the Aquis Exchange (previously named NEX) and the International Property Stock Exchange (IPSX).
Our fundraising expertise covers the full range of solutions, including Initial Public Offerings, public equity placements, takeovers and Mergers & Acquisitions amongst other specialist remits.
NEW: Debt Capital Markets
We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new Debt Capital Markets (DCM) business to complement our existing Equity Capital Markets and Private Growth Capital businesses.
DCM at WH Ireland provides clients with another route to accessing capital in terms of advisory, origination, structuring, distribution, underwriting and secondary market trading, including debt for acquisitions, refinancing or restructuring of existing debt. The DCM team focuses on raising debt (both private placements or public issuance) for small and mid-size corporates in amounts of between £5m – £250m. This is a specialist area of activity where detailed knowledge of demand allows clients to achieve substantially better terms than those generally available from other DCM banks that focus exclusively on the wholesale debt markets.
Phillip Wale, CEO of WH Ireland, said: “On behalf of the Company, I am delighted to welcome Stuart, Scott, David, Patrick and Mark to WH Ireland. Together, these new hires bring a significant wealth of knowledge and expertise across debt capital markets, with a proven track record of origination and execution. This new DCM capability ensures that WH Ireland’s successful Capital Markets division can provide a full service equity and debt offering to support the various fundraising and advisory needs of our broad and growing client base.”
Stuart Galvin, Managing Director and Head of Debt Products Group, said: “We are all delighted to be joining WH Ireland at this exciting time and to have delivered our first successful transaction for the firm. We look forward to helping Phillip and the team continue to build out a broader Capital Markets business”.
