Our Isle of Man-based international investment arm, WHIreland International Wealth, has appointed a new Non-Executive Chairman, Mike Simpson, as it continues its local and international growth strategy from the Isle of Man.
With over 35 years’ experience in financial services in the Isle of Man and Bermuda, Mike has previously served as chairman of both the Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants and the Isle of Man Wealth and Fund Services Association.
Previously a partner at PwC, Mike specialised more recently in insolvency and restructuring, dealing with a number of large liquidations, including banks, investment funds and corporate service providers.
Commenting on his appointment, Mike said: “I have followed the progress of WHIreland International Wealth with interest over the past four years. I am very much looking forward to supporting the local WHIreland team as they continue to build on their success and develop the business. Although the Isle of Man business is only in its fifth year of operation, the WHIreland name has a heritage that stretches back to the 1800s in the UK and I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute towards its future here.”
Will Corrin, Managing Director of WHIreland International Wealth, added: “We are extremely proud to welcome Mike to the team. His depth of knowledge and wide experience, both at PwC and at professional association level, will be extremely valuable to us as we continue our exciting growth plans in the coming years.”
